I often have the 2 – 3 pm slump where I either want to take a nap, slug a cup of coffee, or eat a whole candy bar – none of which are a great option. Yesterday I whipped up this drink and it was very refreshing and energizing (without too much caffeine that I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep).
Brew a cup of green tea and let cool. In a blender, combine the cool green tea, 1 tbsp of matcha powder, about 1/4 cup of cucumber (seeds removed), a splash of lime, and a couple pieces of pineapple for sweetness.
Blend up, run through a strainer to remove pulp if you added pineapple, and pour over ice. It’s a refreshing, cool drink for summer that also has a little caffeine to help you through the afternoon hours.
